An APC support group in Delta State has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in the 2027 general elections.

The Amalgamated All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups (AASG) made its position known during a press conference held in Asaba, Delta State.

The Delta State Coordinator of the group, Prosper Ogagha, said the organisation would work towards mobilising more than 10,000 votes for Tinubu and Oborevwori in the 2027 elections.

Ogagha said the endorsement was part of efforts to formally introduce the Delta chapter of the group and declare its support for the re-election bids of the President and the governor.

He said the group believed the policies and programmes of both leaders deserved continued support.

According to him, the Federal Government has introduced several reforms aimed at addressing longstanding challenges in the Nigerian economy.

He acknowledged that the reforms have created difficulties for many Nigerians but argued that difficult decisions were necessary to address problems that had persisted for decades.

Ogagha listed the removal of fuel subsidy, changes to the foreign exchange system, student loan initiatives, infrastructure investments and social support programmes among measures introduced by the Tinubu administration.

He also commended Governor Oborevwori for what he described as development projects being implemented under the state government’s M.O.R.E Agenda.

The AASG coordinator highlighted road construction and rehabilitation, flyover projects, youth empowerment programmes and efforts to attract investment to Delta State.

He also pointed to the recently held State Economic and Investment Summit and the unveiling of a $100 million viability gap fund as developments that could boost investment in the state.

Ogagha urged residents to support the administration’s ongoing projects, saying continuity would enable the government to complete and consolidate its programmes.

He said the group would mobilise supporters at the grassroots level to vote for Tinubu, Oborevwori and other APC candidates during the 2027 elections.

The group’s South-South Zonal Coordinator, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka, also called on Nigerians and Deltans to support the President and governor.

Chukwuemeka said the organisation was committed to mobilising voters across communities in the South-South region ahead of the elections.

The group maintained that its support for the two leaders was based on what it described as their performance, policies and development initiatives.
