Humanitarian, Sir Godfrey Ohuabunwa, has appealed to Nigerians experiencing hardship to remain hopeful and resilient, urging them to combine faith with perseverance in navigating difficult situations.

Ohuabunwa made the call during a Feeding the Needy Programme organised by Help Without Boundaries Initiative in partnership with Morning Flight 97.7 FM.

The outreach took place at Okrika National Secondary School in Okrika, Rivers, where food and other forms of assistance were provided to elderly people, children and other vulnerable residents.

In his message to participants, Ohuabunwa encouraged them not to lose hope when confronted with challenges, stressing that difficult circumstances could change through determination, prayer and faith.

He referenced Jeremiah 32:27 to reinforce his message that no situation was beyond God’s ability to address.

The humanitarian also appealed to parents whose children had taken the wrong path not to abandon them. He said continued guidance, love and prayer could help such children change their ways and return to a better path.

Ohuabunwa used the biblical story of Hannah to illustrate the importance of perseverance in prayer, noting that her continued faith eventually brought an end to her prolonged struggle.

He also cited the biblical account of Jesus feeding five thousand people, describing it as an example of divine provision and encouragement for those facing hardship.

Beyond offering words of encouragement, Ohuabunwa urged members of the public to support vulnerable people in their communities and contribute positively to the lives of those experiencing difficulties.

The programme also included a Christian salvation message based on John 3:16. Participants were encouraged to embrace the Christian faith, with several people responding to an altar call.

Earlier in the event, participants took part in prayers, praise and worship. Members of the Morning Flight family also shared testimonies about their experiences of faith and what they described as God’s faithfulness.

The Feeding the Needy initiative provided practical assistance to vulnerable members of the Okrika community while promoting compassion, community solidarity and hope.

Organisers said the outreach was designed not only to address immediate material needs but also to encourage vulnerable residents and strengthen bonds within the community.

The programme concluded with renewed appeals for compassion, faith and service to humanity.
