Nigerian comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has announced the cancellation of her proposed September 2026 comedy show in Warri, Delta State.

The comedian announced the cancellation in a statement shared on her official social media platform, citing what she described as “unfortunate divisions” in the state.

Real Warri Pikin expressed disappointment that, at a time when unity should be prioritised, the state is experiencing what she described as tribal and political divisions.

“It is deeply disappointing that, at this stage in our society, we are still confronted with division where there should be unity,” she stated.

The comedian called on the people of Warri to embrace unity and work towards a more peaceful and prosperous society.

She also urged community leaders and the government to provide opportunities and meaningful engagement for the people, using the expression “a bone to chew” as a metaphor for giving citizens productive activities and opportunities that can discourage division.

Real Warri Pikin further appealed to stakeholders in the entertainment industry to pay greater attention to the welfare of creatives and support their wellbeing.

Despite the cancellation, Real Warri Pikin said she remains committed to Warri and would return when the time is right.

The comedian began her entertainment journey as a Glo dancer in 2008 and later participated in the TV Family competition in 2011. She went on to establish herself as one of Nigeria’s prominent comedians, particularly known for her connection to Warri and her use of comedy to bring laughter to audiences.

Her story has also become an example of how entertainment and creativity can be used to connect people and promote positive social messages.
