A dispatch rider identified as Austin Ikenna Adiele has allegedly gone missing after receiving 35 grammes of gold valued at about N7 million for delivery to a customer in Lagos.

Adiele was reportedly working with Errand Boys Express Logistics, located at No. 5 Julius Nnamere Close, Igando, Lagos, when he was entrusted with the valuable item.

According to reports, the rider collected the gold but allegedly failed to deliver it to the intended recipient. He was subsequently said to have switched off his phone and could no longer be reached.

The matter reportedly attracted police attention, with Adiele said to have been last sighted in Surulere, Lagos, on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Efforts to establish contact with him have reportedly been unsuccessful, while concerns continue over both his whereabouts and the location of the missing gold.

Members of the public who may have credible information concerning Adiele or the whereabouts of the gold have been urged to contact the relevant authorities or visit the nearest police station.

The public has also been advised not to confront or attempt to apprehend the suspect, but instead to provide any useful information to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
