President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, as she marked her 66th birthday, describing her as a trusted companion, confidante and life partner.

In a birthday message, the President expressed appreciation for the support and companionship his wife has provided throughout their years together, particularly during difficult periods.

Tinubu said Oluremi had consistently remained by his side with patience, courage and composure, adding that she had often understood his concerns even when he struggled to express them.

According to the President, his wife has also been willing to offer honest counsel, including on issues he might prefer not to hear about.

He said her advice and presence had been particularly valuable after demanding days, describing her honesty as one of the qualities he deeply appreciates.

Tinubu also praised Oluremi for her contribution to the family, saying their children and grandchildren had benefited from her prayers, faith and emphasis on kindness.

Beyond her role within the family, the President highlighted her humanitarian activities and commitment to supporting vulnerable Nigerians.

He referenced her work through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative, saying the programmes had provided assistance to young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers in different parts of the country.

Tinubu also acknowledged her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other health challenges, describing her as someone who has consistently shown compassion toward people in need.

The President noted that Oluremi’s charitable efforts had crossed ethnic, regional and religious boundaries, adding that she had helped people she did not necessarily know personally.

Reflecting on their journey together, Tinubu said their relationship had endured difficult decisions, sacrifices, moments of laughter and prayer.
