The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has described First Lady Oluremi Tinubu as a “true mother of the nation” as she marks her 66th birthday.

Yilwatda made the remarks in a birthday message issued on Monday on behalf of the APC National Working Committee, party leaders and members.

The APC chairman commended the First Lady’s humanitarian activities, particularly through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which he said has supported initiatives in education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, as well as assistance for vulnerable Nigerians.

According to Yilwatda, Oluremi Tinubu’s compassion extends across political, ethnic, religious and geographical boundaries.

He said her interventions demonstrated an approach to leadership focused on restoring dignity, encouraging hope and giving Nigerians confidence in a better future.

Yilwatda also praised what he described as the First Lady’s quiet acts of kindness and commitment to humanitarian causes, saying these have made her a source of comfort and inspiration to many Nigerians.

The APC chairman further highlighted Oluremi Tinubu’s support for her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the administration pursues its economic transformation and national renewal agenda.

He said her strength, wisdom, prayers and understanding had provided an important source of support to the President as he handles the responsibilities of governing the country.

Yilwatda described the relationship between the President and the First Lady as an example of shared purpose in public service.

He also prayed for Oluremi Tinubu to be blessed with good health, wisdom, grace and renewed energy, while wishing her greater fulfilment in the years ahead.

The APC chairman further prayed for continued blessings upon her marriage and family and expressed hope that she would continue to contribute to humanitarian efforts across the country.
