A Delta State High Court has ordered the remand of content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, widely known as Odogwu Asaba, in connection with allegations surrounding the rape and death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.

The court granted the remand application on Friday, September 4, 2026, following the conclusion of investigations into the circumstances surrounding the young woman’s death.

Ogbonna was subsequently taken to the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre, where he will remain in custody pending further proceedings in the case.

A lawyer representing the Agbro family, Awele Ideal, confirmed the development and said the court had granted the application seeking Ogbonna’s remand.

She also disclosed that the autopsy and toxicology reports relating to Favour’s death had been released to the police investigation team.

The release of the forensic reports is expected to assist investigators and prosecutors as they prepare the case for the next stage of legal proceedings.

According to reports, Ogbonna was previously arrested by the Delta State Police Command following a petition connected to the allegations involving the deceased.

The latest court action means that he will remain in custody while the legal process continues.

The allegations against the content creator have not been established as fact, and the court’s remand order does not amount to a conviction. Ogbonna remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty by a competent court.

The case is expected to proceed under the supervision of the relevant authorities, with the Delta State Ministry of Justice expected to take over the prosecution process.
