Nigerians seeking to participate in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO) can now subscribe through participating Moniepoint agents around the clock.

The new arrangement expands access to the public offer beyond conventional investment channels and gives retail investors the option of using agency banking outlets to submit their applications.

The shares are being offered at ₦525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, meaning investors can enter the offer with a minimum investment of ₦5,250. Investors can also make multiple subscriptions during the offer period.

Moniepoint agents provide 24-hour access

Under the new arrangement, prospective investors can visit participating Moniepoint agent locations at any time to complete their Dangote Refinery IPO subscription through the approved process.

The move is expected to make the offer more accessible to Nigerians who regularly use agency banking services but may not ordinarily use traditional stockbroking or investment channels.

Moniepoint’s extensive agent network provides a physical channel through which retail investors in different communities can access the offer. The company had previously announced that the IPO could be accessed through its POS network and digital banking platforms.

Minimum investment set at ₦5,250

The public offer consists of 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 per share.

With the minimum subscription fixed at 10 shares, prospective investors require at least ₦5,250 to participate, subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the offer.

The IPO, which opened on September 14, 2026, is expected to remain open until October 13, 2026, according to the offer information. The transaction is targeting retail, institutional and eligible African investors.

The offering is expected to raise approximately ₦2.15 trillion, with the proceeds intended to support the refinery’s expansion, strategic investments and other long-term business objectives.

Investors urged to use approved channels

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has advised prospective investors to exercise caution and ensure that applications and payments for the Dangote Refinery IPO are made only through officially approved channels.

The regulator warned investors against sending money to individuals or entities claiming to process IPO applications outside the authorised subscription platforms.

It also advised prospective investors to carefully study the approved prospectus, verify the registration status of intermediaries and seek guidance from SEC-registered stockbrokers, banks or investment advisers where necessary.

Investors subscribing through participating Moniepoint agents are expected to complete their transactions through the approved process and retain their transaction receipts. Subscription details are also expected to be sent to the registered phone number used during the transaction.

The development further expands the channels available to Nigerians seeking to participate in the ownership of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and increases the reach of the IPO beyond traditional capital-market access points.
