Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has introduced a new Christian matchmaking platform, Mentor To Marry, aimed at helping faith-driven singles find suitable partners while receiving structured guidance for marriage.

The initiative provides an alternative to conventional dating platforms by combining matchmaking with spiritual development, relationship education and personal accountability.

Okonkwo, who is the lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre, announced the platform on X while expressing concerns about the increasingly transactional nature of modern relationships.

According to him, financial expectations have become a major factor in dating, making it difficult for some young people to build relationships based primarily on genuine affection and shared values.

However, the pastor stressed that his observation should not be interpreted as a criticism of women generally. He noted that there are still many Christian women interested in meaningful relationships with serious and committed men.

How Mentor To Marry Works

Unlike dating apps that primarily depend on users browsing profiles and making instant matches, Mentor To Marry places marriage preparation at the centre of its process.

Prospective members are required to undergo an eight-week programme involving structured classes, psychological assessments and guided self-reflection before gaining access to the matchmaking system.

The programme is designed to help participants develop greater emotional awareness, spiritual maturity and clarity about their expectations before entering a serious relationship.

Mentor To Marry Membership Plans

The platform operates a three-level membership structure.

The Regular Plan, which costs N70,000 annually, provides eight weeks of foundational training, assessments, limited profile visibility, accountability support, five weekly chats and access to a country-based matchmaking network.

The Premium Plan, priced at N350,000 per year, offers unlimited profile browsing, monthly curated matches, access to coaches, international profiles, 10 weekly chats and private groups.

The VIP Plan, costing N700,000 annually, comes with the Premium benefits as well as a dedicated matchmaker, direct access to the platform’s founders, 15 weekly chats, introductions outside the platform, enhanced profile protection and international matchmaking access.

The organisation makes it clear that purchasing any membership package does not guarantee that a participant will find a spouse.

Mentor To Marry is operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries, a registered Nigerian non-profit organisation founded by Kingsley and Mildred Okonkwo.

Membership is currently targeted at people aged 25 and above who are single, divorced or widowed and who agree with the platform’s Christian statement of faith. There is also a free community option for people who are not ready to subscribe to the paid packages.
