TAJBank Ltd., Nigeria’s largest non-interest bank by asset value, has reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for the 2025 financial year.
The bank’s audited results showed that its Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased by 74 per cent, rising from N18.166 billion in 2024 to N31.562 billion in 2025.
The lender also recorded substantial growth in its total assets, which climbed from N953 billion in the previous financial year to N1.34 trillion.
TAJBank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hamid Joda, disclosed the figures in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.
Joda said the bank’s total equity also expanded considerably during the period, reaching N149 billion compared with N61.250 billion recorded in 2024. This represents a growth of about 144 per cent.
He attributed the positive results to the management’s focus on prudent financial practices, noting that the strategy had contributed to stronger investor confidence in the institution.
Joda assured shareholders that the bank remained committed to protecting their investments while delivering sustainable returns.
He further disclosed that the bank’s board approved a dividend of 20 kobo per share for shareholders at its 2026 virtual Annual General Meeting.
According to him, the dividend represents one of the stronger per-share payouts within Nigeria’s banking sector.
TAJBank Chairman, Tanko Gwamna, said the dividend approval was part of the bank’s effort to recognize shareholders for their continued support and contribution to its growth.
The bank’s Executive Director, Sheriff Idi, also expressed appreciation to shareholders for their confidence in the institution, assuring them that their interests would remain a priority in the bank’s operations.
TAJBank has continued to strengthen its position within Nigeria’s non-interest banking sector. The institution was recently recognized by regulatory authorities as the largest player in the subsector based on total assets and gross earnings reported in its approved half-year 2025 financial statements.
The bank has also obtained three ISO certifications from Certification Partner Global (CPG).
The certifications cover ISO 27001 for information security, ISO 22301 for business continuity and ISO 20000 for IT service management.
The latest financial results further underscore TAJBank’s continued expansion and growing presence in Nigeria’s non-interest banking industry.
