The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has distributed sensitive electoral materials ahead of tomorrow, August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
The Materials, include ballot papers, result sheets and other sensitive election documents.
According to report after the distribution, vehicles conveying the materials departed for their respective local government areas across the state.
The movement of the materials were moved to their various destinations accompanied by security personnel.
Speaking on the distribution, INEC National Supervising Commissioner Professor Kunle Ajayi said the process was delayed due to the reprinting of ballot papers.
Professor Ajayi stressed that, the reprinting became necessary following a court judgment directing INEC to include the party running for governorship position that was not in the ballot paper initially.
The materials arrived at the Central Bank of Nigeria ,CBN premises at about 8:30 pm on Thursday, under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies.
